The Benefits of BARLEY GRASS

1. PROTECTS AGAINST DEGENERATIVE DISEASES
With an ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) Value of 25,000, barley grass acts as a powerful antioxidant which scavenges and neutralizes free radicals, recognized as the main culprit in debilitating diseases such as arthritis, diabetes and cancer. a higher ORAC score means that the ability to fight diseases is stronger. at least 3000-5000 ORAC units per day are needed for protection against free radicals. Barley grass contains a substance called P4D1 which has been shown to actually repair DNA in the cells of the body. It has a strong anti-inflammatory action and is thought to aid in the prevention of cancer, aging, and cell death. Barley grass also has an enzyme called superoxide dismutase (SOD) which also helps protect the body against free radicals.

2. PROVIDES GOOD NUTRITION
According to the resource Research Association, Office of Science and Technology, and Japan Food Analysis Center, barley grass contains chlorophyll and is rich in vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Per 100 grams of dried barley juice is said to have:
  • 30 times as much vitamin B1 as in milk
  • 3.3 times as much vitamin C
  • 6.5 times as much carotene as in spinach
  • 11 times the amount of calcium in cow's milk
  • 5 times the iron content of spinach
  • 7 times the vitamin C in oranges
  • 4 times the vitamin B1 in whole-wheat flour
  • 80 microorganisms of vitamin B12
3. HELPS IN WEIGHT MANAGEMENT
Regular use of barley grass may lead to weight loss. Research says this is due to the enhancement of the cytochrome enzyme system, which is essential foe cell metabolism. More efficient metabolism means more efficient burning of calories, resulting in more effective weight management.

4. AIDS IN REGULAR ELIMINATION
Barley grass contains high levels of soluble and insoluble fiber which helps in regular bowel movement and elimination of toxins.

5. PREVENTS GASTRIC ACIDITY
Barley grass is naturally alkaline. It has a natural calming effect on the gastrointestinal system. It is also very high in organic sodium with about 775mg of organic sodium per 100 grams. It also replenishes organic sodium in the lining of the stomach. This aids digestion by improving the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

6. HELPS IN ANEMIA
Barley grass is rich in chlorophyll, sometimes called "green blood". Chlorophyll has similar chemical structure to hemoglobin, the substance that carries oxygen to the body's cell.

Letting go...

I’ve burned all the memoirs from the dark days of my life, but I kept the ashes and put it in a mini urn.  531 days have already passed. 12 leaves from the calendar had fallen. 12,744 hours had run out. I think it’s time for me to scatter all those ashes and let the wind take it away from me. Maybe it’s a healing way of returning all the love and pain felt from yesterday’s twisted love story to nature and let the nature itself mend all the scars left behind.

Dear Future Boyfriend

Dear Future Boyfriend,
All my life, I’ve been searching for my one great love. I’ve met a lot of boys and dated some of them, but I always end up disappointed and broken hearted because I can’t find what I’m looking for. I’m not that choosy or demanding, but all I want is someone who would become not just my “BOYFRIEND” but my “BESTFRIEND” ---someone whom I can share every milestones of my life. I want someone who would stay with me throughout the roller coaster ride of this journey.
I want you to know that I don’t care if you’re not a hunk or a cool dude. I just want a simple guy. I want you to be true to yourself. No pretences. I don’t care about your past relationships. I don’t care about how many girls you’ve courted or how many girls cried because of you. I don’t care if you’ve hurt or left someone before. Past is past and we can never change it but we can work for a better future. Let’s put the sad memoirs of the past behind the shadows.  I will accept you for what and who you are right now. I’ll be the best girlfriend for you. I will be your cheerleader in all your basketball games. I will watch action films and even play video and online games with you.  I’ll be your best buddy. I’ll try to make you smile when you’re not in a good mood. I’ll comfort you when you’re sad. I’ll be your nurse to take care of you when you’re not feeling well. I’ll be there beside you no matter what and support you always. I’ll be there through your ups and downs.
We’ll have adventures together, try different extreme sports, break free, laugh out loud, cry like babies and try the craziest things in the world.  There will be no dull moments in our relationship. We’ll make every second count and memorable.
My dear, I’m hoping that you’ll love not just the best part of me but also my imperfections. If sometimes I act so childish and immature, please extend your patience and maturely understand me. I’m not perfect. If I’m experiencing mood swings because of stress or because I’m feeling sick, I hope you’ll be there beside me and take care of me.  I hope you’ll love and respect my family, friends and all the people who are close to my heart the way you loved yours. Who I am right now is because of them, so I hope you’ll value them the way that I do.  And lastly, let God be the center of our relationship.
And if it’s not too much to ask, please be safe always. I don’t want anything bad will happen to you, because there will never be another “you” in my life. You’re irreplaceable, remember that. You’re the greatest thing that ever happened in my life. And I want to tell you the same thing that Edward Cullen told to Bella Swan: “I will love you for every day of forever”.
In God’s time, I know you’ll be able to read this letter. And I’d still be here waiting for that time. I know that when two hearts are meant for each other, no distance is too far, no time is too long, and no other love can break them apart. You’re worth the wait.
                                                                                                                        Love,
                                                                                                                        Jeabie
